Proposal: An Additional Species of Conservation Concern: Western Bumblebee

The following provides new information indicating Bombus occidentalis (Western Bumble Bee) should be added to the Non-Plant List of Species of Conservation Concern that have been Second Review – Non-Plant _Listed1 for the Manti-La Sal National Forest plan revision. Although suggested to the Manti-La Sal NF by the Intermountain Regional Office for consideration as a Non-Plant Species of Conservation Concern, B. occidentalis was Second Review-Non-Plant_Not Listed2 on the basis that (a) the species is not known to occur in the plan area and [thus] (b) species persistence in the plan area is not of substantial concern.
